"The Silver Surf is an older motel that provides its guests comfortable rooms and gorgeous ocean front views. The views more than make up for lack of modern amenities. My room had a very nice kitchenette with a refrigerator, range and all the necessary kitchen accessories for my stay. It’s conveniently located just north of Yachats and it is very walkable to downtown. The only criticism I have is that the WIFI did not work well. It was very slow at times and I was forced to switch to cellular. Other than that, the Silver Surf is a wonderful ocean front motel."

"This is a great spot for a hotel. There’s a small beach area and a large outdoor space with fire pits, chairs, benches, and tables, all overlooking the bay. The rooms are very nice. There’s no AC, but each room has a fan. The pool is closed and doesn’t look like it will reopen. I was told you can use the pool and hot tub next door at the sister property, so be sure to ask if that’s important to you. The man at the front desk is fantastic — friendly, helpful, and really welcoming. The hotel is priced well for a weekend stay. If they keep being well price we will be back. (7-17-19-2026) "

"Definitely older place. We had no view at all. Front desk guy was very nice. Our room had an odor, when I told him he came in and rewashed the floor but what we were smelling was the vinegar mixture they use to clean! Strong and stinky. He did offer us another room for the next night but it would have been the same. It was better as were in the room and opened windows. Pool was good but there was a mess of broken pool noodles all over. Should have been cleaned up. Location was great!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were only able to stay here a couple of nights, but it would have been great for four nights if we could have. Yachats is a great town with great food, wonderful walks (for us with a dog), and while it is a tourist town, you don't feel like it is innundated. The actual house is very cute and small. The bed was comfortable and while the shower was tiny, the bathroom was workable. The kitchen has small appliances. We may stay here again."
