"This is a difficult review. The owners have only recently taken over and are working hard to improve things. The place is very tired in places, needing repairs and redecorating. The staff were lovely, the food was very good, the bed was nice, clean and comfortable.....but there were stains on the carpet and the bathroom was dirty."

"Really friendly staff but my room was shabby with marked, stained and ripped wallpaper. It was located at the front of the property with a lot of late night noise and light from the main road. I see many other 10/10 reviews but can not say they reflected the room I was given. The room was clean, however."

"We booked the hotel through Expedia for a cycle event in Wincanton. The location was perfect. Our room was huge and had an external door allowing access to the exterior. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked too. All staff were pleasant and sociable to us. Would happily stay again."
