"As we arrived late we had to do the auto check in via the lodge keypad, they keypad didn’t quite work for us as expected but the staff on site soon came to our rescue. The property is lovely and is finished to a premium standard, unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat in the restaurant but the menu looked good, we would definitely stay here again if we were in the vicinity. "The building was under renovation with workmen and building material name around a large section (excluding the bedrooms ). The building is old and in a state of disrepair. The bedrooms have been partially renovated but there is much to be done and there is a need for a deep clean and a repair and repaint of the rooms. But ..,., cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. "

"Booked an overnight stay before flying from Heathrow. Lovely peaceful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Staff all very friendly , single room but was plenty big enough. Parked right outside hotel . Restaurant food was really good . Only took me 20 mins to get to Heathrow the next morning , feeling relaxed and refreshed. Would highly recommend "
