Overall a great hotel. We had the Superior Rooms with 2 double beds and a view of the water. It was very nice. The beds had a nice balance of firmness and comfort. The lack of minibar was irritating but under the Covid circumstances understandable, but why not leave a couple of wine or beer glasses for guests who might want to go and buy some in from the Systembolaget?
There was coffee, creamer and sugar but nothing to stir it with. There were slippers, but no robes. Neither issue vital, just strange. Car Parking and the Pet charge were higher than most other hotels locally but our main issue was at breakfast. My daughter was unable to come down for breakfast and in most hotels they give us a tray, a box, or at least a plate and they are happy for us to take stuff upstairs, but the quite bossy woman on duty told us it was not possible "because of Covid" - can anyone explain why me taking a plate of fruit up to my daughter increases the Covid risk? Then she said although I couldn't take it, Room Service could bring it up! What? The final one was "You won't be charged any extra sir, but you will just pay 75 SEK for the delivery" WOW, confusing or what?
Look, don't let these things detract from what is otherwise a great hotel in a great location. The staff in the Bar and on reception were absolutely perfect and we will be back in a few weeks to stay here. Great to see a selection of vegan options on the menu and at breakfast too (just ask them). Highly recommended overall.
