"The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away. The hotel is close to the river and we would also recommend visiting the prison! The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Great location within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and sights of the town with paid parking available just around the corner. Fabulous room and a lovely garden to sit out in of an evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious."

"This was my first time staying here or even being in Shrewsbury and I can honestly say it was fantastic. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and able to give me suggestions on places to visit during my stay. The breakfast was fantastic and food served during the day was also amazing. Room was lovely and clean and a good size. My only problem was the mattress on the bed was so hard it was difficult to sleep. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Thank you to all staff"

"Perfectly positioned. A very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated little property. Quality furnishings and crockery. Great shower. TV worked first time Modern washing machine. Cool little sun deck. Host - great communication and he also provided valuable local info, leaflets etc. Shrewsbury - lovely old town - enjoyed exploring and would have liked to stay longer."
