Gorgeous hall with lake view, super helpful staff , comfortable room, great breakfast … unfortunately the jacuzzi and thermal suite in the spa were not working so for a weekend spa break it’s not good luckily we had other things planned and for us it was a lovely weekend escape

Our stay at this hotel did not disappoint. The staff were all excellent. When checking in, I had not mentioned my mother was unable to walk up lots of stairs so they quickly changed our room. This was large and spacious - had great views. They also accommodated my mother’s birthday cake and set the table beautifully with thoughtful birthday additions. Kelvin, in the Oak Restaurant, made our meal and experience great with his humour and thoughtfulness. This was all reasonably priced - quality at an affordable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a great stay here, it had everything from great food , friendly staff and a well equipped gym and pool. To top it off for us, it’s dog friendly too! All the staff were super helpful and attentive to our needs, from reception to bar and gym staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome, even the gym members. This will be a regular stop off for us whilst visiting my daughter in Liverpool. All I can say is Thank you . Lisa, Lee and Finley x

Warm welcome and my boys really loved the drinks and chocolate left for them in our room. Great having access to the pool/spa, lovely grounds and good food in the bar. Breakfast was also good, although the kitchen were stretched trying to keep pace with demand for hot breakfast items from guests at the previous day's wedding! We'll be staying there again!

A good hotel for a short stay. Close to beautiful Shrewsbury. Excellent and friendly staff. Good standard of facilities including swimming pool. Nice, clean and spacious room. Lovely breakfast. One mark off the five star due to poor water pressure in the shower. But I liked this hotel very much and would recommend it.

Beautiful grounds on arrival and very impressed. Unfortunately, receptionist was very condescending because we had booked through expedia therefore no fee spa access! We weren't told where anything was or what we had to do for breakfast or how to get to our room!! Room was a distance away and smelt a bit, but lovely comfortable bed and massive shower. We used the bar for food but really not impressed! One of the dishes tasted funny, and we found out it had been fried in hazelnut oil which was not stated on the menu and would not have been chosen if that was so. Also not impressed that a dog was allowed in the bar around food. Breakfast was also not a pleasant experience; really bad layout with toast, milk and hot drinks all crammed in to one corner. Hot food was dried up and bland. Spa treatments we had were amazing!!!! A shame they don't get busy and the facilities are very seperate from the hotel.
