St. George’s Hall has watched modern Liverpool transform around it for 200 years. If you visit St. George’s Hall in summer, you’re in luck. During the summer months, a protective wooden covering is removed from the floor and visitors can see the 30,000 spectacularly colourful Minton tiles that make up the mosaic underfoot. The mosaic’s initial opening brought 100,000 people to the hall, and the grand unveiling remains a big annual event to this day. The hall hosts a selection of cultural events each year, such as music concerts or international exhibitions in the hall’s gallery space.
