"Breakfast OK. Not big variety as expected. Hot food is made on demand plus a buffet with cereals, bread, etc. Mattress was worn out and the springs were sticking out, affecting my sleep. Also, too soft mattress. Nice size bathroom but dated. Cold room despite trying to regulate the radiator. Smelly room which has showed that there was no ventilation before my arrival. Thin wall. I could hear the other guest in the other room snoring and moving about. Definitely not 4 star accommodation. "

"The room had been upgraded however the walls were marked, hole in the wall, no hot water in the shower, carpet was stained. Breakfast was delicious, all staff were really welcoming, friendly. "

"The setting was perfect, the description of a woodland retreat was spot on. We loved sitting gazing out at the squirrels playing in the trees and were lucky enough to have them come up to the door and peer in. After leaving out almonds for them we had daily visits.Seagulls Rest was beautifully styled, it felt welcoming and cosy. Thank.you to Tina who was so helpful with our enquiries. "The hotel is lovely and I would recommend staying there, breakfast had everything you need. However we were shocked to find that the swimming pool and golf had additional costs and when going down for food Sunday evening the only thing available was Sunday lunch. These things should be made clear. "

"The breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked, and with a varied menu. The property was clean and well kept, but a little dated. First flight of stairs is accessed by a chairlift, rather than a lift. There are then stairs to negotiate on the first floor, to get to the room. "

"Whilst the Expedia price on this hotel was lower than the hotels website, the general condition of the room and bar was tired and dated. The shower did not work correctly, room light kept flickering on and off when switched on. It was convenient for a party i was attending but i would not return. "
