The quiet atmosphere made for genuinely restful nights, which is increasingly rare in hospitality these days. The pub meal was proper quality at a good price. Executed well, the kind of food that makes you think the kitchen actually cares. Logistically, they've got it sorted. Late-night arrivals and early departures were hassle-free, which matters more than most hotels seem to realise. Access in and out was simple and easy.
