"This is a lovely historic hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one thing (but this was promptly rectified) : initially we had a front bedroom facing the road which was busy and noisy all through the night. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a rear bedroom which was wonderfully spacious and with much better facilities. The staff were very pleasant, polite and efficient, the hotel was fascinating and well-kept, and we would certainly stay there again."
"This worked really well for me. Attending a wedding. Bit of trouble getting key out of keybox and had to call. Perhaps add in detail about pressing black button down too! Otherwise lovely building. Super spacious room. Clean and felt luxurious. Bottled water in fridge would be a nice addition. "

"Perfect location for a an action packed week in St. Albans. Elise’s place was exactly what we wanted & exactly as stated. Couldn’t ask for a better spot. Easy check-in & check out & everything we needed. Just be prepared for the 6 flights of stairs if you have a lot of luggage, but essentially no big deal. We loved every minute of our stay & will be back for sure!"
