A lovely quirky hotel close to Hertfordshire University. Many food places close by however, the onsite restaurant was delicious and the staff friendly, polite and welcoming. The rooms were generous sized and well equipped for our stay. We would definitely return.

Room was extremely clean. Love The White Company smellies. Although there was a mix up (Executive Room I booked said it had a king bed and sofa bed but no sofa bed) the Receptionist who checked us in and different Receptionist who checked us out went above and beyond to resolve the issue. We were offered 2 Executive Rooms so that we would have a bed each or 1 twin bed room. We opted for the twin bed room. I regularly travel to the area as I was born nearby and had often seen this hotel, but never stayed in it before. It did not disappoint. I will recommend it to others. The staff are wonderful. Best I've ever encountered at a hotel when it comes to problem solving.

The reception staff were fantastic. Parking excellent. Restaurant and bar service fine breakfast was particulary good. Unfortunately the airconding was down, I discovered it merely require a member of staff with mobile app to re-set.after an uncomfortable night..

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting family. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced. The bedrooms were comfortable with large comfy bed and lovely shower room. Breakfast was first class. We are seasoned travellers and it is possibly one of the best hotels we have stayed in for the price.
