The cabins are located right off the main road near a small grocery store and other restaurants which was convenient. It is perfectly situated if you are planning to see Golden Circle sites. "The hotel is in a good location, however the location is so centrally located the bars are playing loud music late. It’s not so bad on the weekdays but the weekends it goes pretty late. Even with a white noise machine we brought you could still hear the bass. Facing the plaza would definitely be the loudest. In the summer with no heat on we still needed to have the window open to get a cooler temperature. Which of course makes things louder. Other than the noise everything was great. There are some pretty good restaurants near the hotel as well."

"The room was cleaned. Housekeeping only on request. Room was very basic, nothing like the 4 stars in other countries. Staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very basic. We had dinner in the restaurant on the day we arrived. It was 9pm, kitchen was about to close and they still served us. We enjoyed the meal."

"Excellent location to explore Reykjavík on foot or take tours using Reykjavík as home base. Bakery, restaurant and bar on site were very good. When we booked, we thought breakfast was included but it was not. Room did not have a thermostat to control temp and it was very warm. I would still recommend staying here."
