Free ample parking, easy access to room, kitchenette to cook/ heat up meals, no staff on property but runs efficiently- they respond to requests in a timely manner. A bit expensive considering the 7 km unpaved road though it is an easy drive- no issues there

You're really in the "middle of nowhere" and that's a fantastic feeling. The road towards the hotel is a gravel road (>4km). Make sure to bring your own food because there is nothing to find around. This really is a fantastic location

Place has everything you need. Quit, with the nice view. Bumpy road to get in, from the main road, but overall excellent. Would recommend, to bring your slippers.

Its a bit challenging to found the hotel in the middle of nowhere but lava field. It was a good experience though! The room is very very new and clean. We have a very good stay. And feel grateful about the location that give us a reason to discovered the surrounding geographic.

Why does this apartment complex exist in the middle of literally nowhere? We don't know, but it was very nice! As we drove toward it, we were questioning whether it actually existed because it's far down a smooth dirt road surrounded by literally nothing. The room was very nice, clean, shower was great, kitchenette had plates, cups, utensils for 4, a nice couch and TV. We loved our stay.

Easy check-in, the apartment offers everything you need. The walls are a little thin and you can hear the people next door talking. Make sure to bring earplugs with you, if it bothers you. Only downside is the way to the accommodation on the gravel road.

Great hotel choice for the area!

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of outlets too. The employees were very responsive when we needed something. It’s remote but most places are in that area of Iceland. I would definitely stay there again!

Everything was good except there were some decorations that were falling out of the wall. Bed was comfortable. Parking was avaliable on site in a garage. Walked to main sites. Breakfast was excellent

Great place!

Omg! This place is amazing! While it is in the middle of nowhere down a long gravel drive, it's perfectly situated between Vic & The Glacier Lagoon. It's brand new and as you walk in the entry and bathroom have heated floors! The host is very thoughtful.

Comfortable, new apartment. Plenty of space for our family. Location very much in the middle of nowhere (but we knew this when booking). Guests should make sure they take all their food with them: around a 50 minute drive to the nearest grocery store.

The room was clean and modern style. Unique location, I liked it. The staff was good and warm welcome. Coffee was soooo good. But the room had no soundproofing, so I could hear conversations and footsteps, everything from the next rooms.

Beautiful apartment. It had comfortable beds and the entire place was spotless. Views in the morning were amazing. Really appreciated the coffee as well!! It is very remote. Long gravel road off the beaten path. Bring snacks, food and drinks because there is nothing on this stretch of Hwy 1 anyway. We stayed here on our way from Reykjavik to Glacier Lagoon. Perfect spot for an overnight stay.

This property was very new, nicely furnished. Comfy beds, nice kitchen. Liked the special coffee & chocolates, nice touch. Excellent view of Northern Lights as it is dark there. This was kind of pricey compared to other places we stayed. Isolated, rough road off the highway (it had rained).

This guest house was super comfortable and staff communication was great… super convenient check-in. Only downside, is it’s in the middle of nowhere. 8 km on a gravel road. But… place is great. Might be best accommodation within 100km so don’t let the dirt road discourage you. You can see the horizon over the volcanic plane and ponder.

Nice, but the walls are paper thin

The apartment itself was clean and very nice, however, they may as well have separated the units with a curtain because you can literally hear everything that goes on in the neighboring apartments. Someone next door snored very loudly all night and I was unable to sleep at all.

This is a new property. There are still works in progress but no workers present maybe it was weekend. The unit has everything we needed, exceptionally clean. The drive from the main road took about 12 minutes. The morning we checked out, sky was blue. We enjoyed the drive back to the highway. There are mossy lava rocks, crystal clear streams, goats… The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I didn’t receive any emails for door code or check in information prior to arrival. I had to call the number on the notice posted on the property.

It's over 15 min drive on unpaved road from Route 1 to the Apartments. Condition of the unpaved road is poor, especially after heavy rain and after construction vehicle passed by. The Apartment itself is very clean, chic and comfortable, just the surrounding area is indeed a construction site with workers working around, construction vehicles passed by. With the price you paid, you can have many choices along Route 1 in the area.

Don’t doubt yourself when driving down the road. Just keep driving with car windows up. Didn’t receive any email about check in process from the property; staff was actually there waiting; saying they don’t do email as we booked via Expedia. Nice room as it’s a very new facility. Had to wear eye mask as the curtains doesn’t block the light. Oh one big bummer—WiFi not working. Several phone calls with no resolutions 😞
