"I recently stayed at The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. While the location itself is beautiful, the overall quality of service and management left a lot to be desired.
The biggest issue during my stay was the lack of professionalism and responsiveness from the property manager. Concerns that were brought up—ranging from room cleanliness to maintenance issues—were either dismissed or addressed very slowly. It felt like guest satisfaction was not a priority at all. Communication was poor, and there was little effort made to resolve problems in a timely or courteous manner.
The room itself was not properly cleaned upon arrival, and several amenities that were advertised were either unavailable or not functioning. When these issues were reported, the response from management was indifferent at best.
For the price point, I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability from the property manager and staff made this a disappointing stay. I would not recommend this resort unless significant improvements are made in management and customer service."
