Fantastically clean rooms and the beer was brilliant in the bar below Jackie and her husband were fantastic hosts and we're definitely stay again highly recommend this stay in point fantastic thanks everybody
Lovely little hotel in Woolston, Southampton just an 8 minute drive to Ocean dock for P&O.
The room was spotless, the bed soft and comfortable and the check in couldn't have been simpler. Highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay.
Convenient and well priced option for cruise passengers. Comfortable and quiet rooms. No lift but not many stairs. Excellent Indian restaurant in walking distance.
Check in was quick and easy, the only problem for me was hauling my bags up the outer staircase. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower room was also clean.
Jacqui was very pleasant and helpful, and I would happily stay here again.
Large very clean room with nice en-suite shower and wc. Room also had a small table and chairs and sink with kettle, tea, coffee and cutlery and plates. Bed was very comfy. Only two small things. Loose towel rail and toilet seat not fully secured.
Jackie on check-in very helpful with any information we needed including helping us with bus information and where to eat.
Simple accommodation, done brilliantly, and run by a super-helpful manager.
A very warm welcome on arrival, a clean and comfortable room, and a good night's sleep.
If you need a clean room for a night before a cruise and don't want to spend the $300-400 per night that hotels closer to the cruise port charge, the Swan Inn is a good option .Rooms are sparsely furnished but they have everything you need, including a kettle and coffee/tea.The only downside is that there are very few restaurants around the hotel. We took an Uber to downtown which is only a few miles away.
Clean, tidy well maintained & comfortable & good value for money.
Always welcoming upon arrival.

Close to cruise port but we did have to stand in the rain because we didn’t have access to our room until the owner came to open for us. Very nice staff and rooms were super clean. Prices were reasonable compared to big named hotels. We always like to stay at smaller inns to get the feel of the neighborhood. Great neighborhood pub. People all super friendly and the locals went out of their way to welcome us and visit!
Landlady is very friendly. The room and ensuite were spotless. Unfortunately, the pub was closed unexpectedly so didn't get to relax as much as we'd have liked.
Very much enjoyed our stay, really really friendly, the rooms are a great size, with everything you need included, the decor and furniture is clean, neutral and modern. I personally would have liked an extra pillow, which may have been provided should I have asked, overall it’s great value. I would rebook
As soon as we artived the owner met us and took us ti our topm. Explained the entry procedure. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable and more than acceptable for the price of the accomodation. The only slight doenside we were led to believe there was a bar and food but it is currently being reurbushed.
Great for short stay over. We stopped overnight on our way to a cruise holiday with family. Had 2 double en-suite rooms. Very clean. Met the housekeeper she was lovely and chatty. We contacted the hotel weeks before and mentioned the eta and they had our rooms ready for 2pm check in. There is a pub underneath they allow to order food or bring your own in to eat in there. There is a garage over the road that also serves cold sandwiches and snacks. Another pub a little walk away that does food and has an outside area. The swan inn is on a very busy main road and has limited parking spaces. Was well worth the money. We caught a bus outside the garage into Southampton town centre for a shop and lunch took 15 mins and drops off outside too, saved driving in during the day family ticket £5 all day, this includes 5 adults or adults and children up to a group of 5.
Overall, it was a nice stay. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and recently updated, with a small fridge. The only one, that we had in England. Bonus. It's not really a negative, depending on your needs or expectations, but there is no food available. I wrongly assumed, that being a pub, that they might have food. The nearest takeout, was closed and it required a long walk to find restaurant. Perhaps we should have planned in advance, for that. We didn't want to drive, because parking there is limited and being a pub, we would probably lose our parking. But, it was as advertised, so no real complaints.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The owner Jackie is lovely and very helpful, but the rooms are up outdoor metal stairs difficult for us to manage with suitcases. No food on site or nearby.
