The room smelt surgically clean when we arrived but we soon got used to it! It was quite small but you get what you pay for and beds were super comfy. Parking was £12.50 for the day. It's very close to the retail park and West Quay shopping centre, and high street shops. If you want somewhere cheap and clean I would recommend here.

Perfectly practical space! Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly and helpful staff! The elevator was small and busy so we often took the stairs. If that’s not an option for you that might be a bummer! Easy 10 minute walk into town. Seemed like easy access to Ubers as well.

For a budget room this was ideal. Compact but clean and comfortable beds. Perfect location as could walk into Southampton centre and the docks. Continental breakfast but enough variety to fill you up. On arrival we was greeted by Simon on reception who was extremely helpful and polite and gave some excellent local knowledge for walks on the docks and other areas, thank you.

The hotel was basic but I suppose it is a budget hotel but the other guests or the assumption they were guests were very unsavoury, felt unsafe, woman in the area has her handbag stolen through force. The hotel was ok. There is another Ibis hotel beside, don’t get confused. Close to train station and old town. Staff weren’t very nice. Waited a while to get checked in. They did not provide enough towels and said they provided to us already which they didn’t. Key stopped working on second day. Only 1 elevator which took long time to come. Room was tiny.

This is Budget level so one doesn’t expect much, which is fine. I arrived early, had already checked in online, it was quick and I very much appreciated being able to drop off my backpack rather than waiting until 2 or 3:00 which is nonsense with some hotels.
