The hotel was excellent, especially the staff on reception, a young lady called
Jasmin , worth her weight in gold, only hope the hotel realise what a valuable asset she is.

Stayed three nights late May. Was made very welcome by hostess Louise and staff. Hotel located two minutes walk from The Hoe and a nice stroll to the Barbican and city centre. Extensive breakfast menu all very well presented, generous serves and delicious. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding property at every touchpoint. From the modern rooms to the willingness of the owners to meet guest expectations, to the brilliant bed and linens, to the room amenities that match any five-star hotel, this was a wonderful stay. A great credit to the owners' makeover of this large town house - and a hotel of which Tavistock can be truly proud.

Elfordleigh is an excellent hotel. Nice grounds and not so distant from the city that it is inconvenient. While Plymouth has a small and somewhat cramped inner city center Elfordleigh offers a relaxed atmosphere with spacious well manicured surrounds. The rooms are spacious, the service great. The only downside, is that the floors could be improved with the addition of a simple rug while the room walls are devoid of any artwork. Fix these two minor points and win a nine point five out or ten.

I expected something average but got something truely exceptional. I can say without doubt this was the most comfortable, clean, roomy, well maintained and beautifully renovated accommodation I have EVER stayed in. The staff were super friendly. The breakfast was exquisite. The pub itself is charming and the dinner menu full of local produce and the meal I had was delicious. I was worried about where to park the car in such a tiny village but there is a big car park at the back. Definitely...
