"Breakfast portions and portions were great. The eggs station chef was always cooperative and helpful, plenty of veggies, fruit, bakery, and oven fresh bread and Egyptian Feteer. Same goes to the launch with so many fresh options, varied meal options including great pastry on offer. Dinner options varied every day with a specific themes each day that makes the dinner staff change the table clothing and their costume accordingly. Room service staff are wonderful and very helpful"

"Title: Appalling Experience – Unsafe, Unhygienic & Completely Misleading My stay at Kaktus Somabay was a disaster from the moment I checked in on November 27, 2025. The first room was covered in thick dust, to the extent that my new iPad cover became damaged within minutes. When I reported it, management responded with denial and disrespect, insisting it “did not happen here.” Their attitude alone was unacceptable. After being moved three times, every room had the same unhygienic dust problem. I developed allergic reactions, including itchy eyes and a sore throat. One of the rooms had a cracked mirror, which staff openly admitted they were already aware of—a major safety hazard that they simply ignored. Two bathroom doors didn’t even close. My entire first day was wasted dealing with room changes and staff negligence. Then the power cut three times, including once while I was showering, leaving me in total darkness and nearly causing an accident. Add to that a persistent smell of gas and paint, which made staying in the room unbearable. To make matters worse, the hotel is blatantly misrepresented online. The so-called “superior suite” was merely two connected rooms, the beach required a 10-minute drive, and the advertised pools and amenities were nothing like the photos—tiny, unusable, nonexistent in some cases. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property is unsafe, unclean, and falsely advertised.Strongly advise travellers to avoid this hotel"

"Dive shop on site. Beautiful green areas. Very good hospitality. No house reef. No snorkeling ( boats in and out from marina ) -no snorkeling allowed off shore. Another resort 4 resorts south has a house reef. Excellent ORCA dive shop. Booked all inclusive. Likely too much food :) would definetly stay there again "

"An amazing hotel! My room was clean and seemed brand new. I had an ocean view. Breakfasts and dinners were great. The location right at the jetty was so great. Snorkeling and diving were right there. The staff was wonderful. I wished I had longer than 3 days! I would definitely return. And many people I spoke to had been going for years."

"A nice vacation on the beach. Nice beach but very small for the number of people. Food was good but need more varieties. Service is perfect. Animation team is great."
