"It was my second time at the abrigo da montanha, this time as a stop off between the Santander ferry and Lisbon. Great location in the mountains, lovely to have the small spa for a bit of relaxation, and the slightly fancier room with the jacuzzi bath. As with my last visit, the best elements were the amazing views of the mountains in Sabugueiro and the staff, all of whom were lovely. "The hotel was stunning, a modern mountain vibe. The staff were extremely friendly and kind. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The pools are spectacular, we had seen a photo of these and that was why we visited. We were not disappointed, cave like steam rooms and saunas, multiple pools. The entire experience was extremely enjoyable and we will go back. I should also mention the bar food was to a very high standard, reasonable prices and large portions. "
