It was a VERY disappointing experience.
1. Unreasonable check-in and check-out time. Check-in MUST be 3pm (NO earlier) check-out MUST be 12pm (NO later). You pay so much for 1 night stay for a stay that is NOT EVEN 24hours. Receptionist kept repeating "hotel policy". Didn’t even attempt to consider the request.
2. Check-in experience was HORRIBLE. The queue was ridiculously long with NO SOCIAL DISTANCING measures WHILE IT WAS CROWDED. Everyone was standing so close to one another in groups and none of the staff bothered to take action. However, when the queue was shorter and there were not many people left, suddenly social distancing matters. Staff came to us and said “sorry, only 1 person allowed to queue in the line due to social distancing”. So what about half an hour ago when the queue was long? Why wasn’t social distancing practised? And yes, we had to stand in the queue for 30-45mins before we actually got to the counter. Not to mention the staff who told us about social distancing actually asked if we would like to get notification when our room is ready. I asked “do you mean my room is not ready?” he said “I’m not sure it depends”. What do you mean it depends? You have a LATE CHECK-IN policy, made us stand in line for ALMOST AN HOUR and you got the audacity to tell us there is a possibility the room is not ready? Unbelievable! Thankfully, the room was ready else, I would have asked for full refund and find a better hotel to check-in to.
