"Just back from a weekend at Dusit Thani. The newly reopened jewel-in-the-crown of Thai hospitality is back. Beautifully designed, calm and luxurious, the hotel has been impeccably designed down to the last detail. The service is as you expect from Dusit, so warm and welcoming, although there were a few - really quite minor - service lags on account of the hotel only being open a few weeks. "My stay was great and the reception staff, especially Karen, were helpful and clear. However, I encountered two issues: there was no prior mention of a deposit or the policy that keeps balconies locked for solo guests. I chose this luxury hotel for my birthday and upgraded to a high-floor river view as a treat, so being unable to access the balcony was a letdown.
