6 stars! Lovely stay could not recommend more.
This is such a lovely place to stay. Really lovely HUGE room - pretty and super comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and a good range of different options. I was a bit worried about parking but super easy - lots of space at the entrance to the old town and very safe.

A weekend away from work
I had a wonderful stay in Fronius Residence, the team is wonderful and always ready to help. A local, home-made specialty was served for breakfast on Sunday, my room was very spacious with a view on the clock tower. Awesome!

Welcoming staff, quaint old medieval hotel
A beautiful old building, hundreds of years old, and lovely landscaped backyard welcome you to this idyllic hotel. The hotel staff is helpful and prepares a delightful hand-made breakfast. You get a free magnet on checkout to remember the stay. Beautiful old rooms with a story for each one. A great place to stay in Sighisoara, right off the town square

Poor hotel expensive price.
A bightmare to find the hotel. No road up the fortress. Water doesn’t drain in the sink and shower. Very very poor breakfast doesn’t deserve five stars. Three max.

This place is amazing
What an amazing experience! We had a beautiful room in a medieval inn in the hill top citadel. Our room had been beautifully renovated yet had the old world charm. Our room was very quiet but there was plenty to do very close by. We were very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Everything was home made. It's hard to say enough nice things. We would like to go back and stay longer.

simply amazing
what a nice surprise for a last minute decision to stay in this town. We opted for this hotel, not knowing it was IN the Citidel. Steps away from everything old. What a delight. The house itself is also amazing, The staff were great and the breakfast was plentiful. Made the mistake of filling a plate with good food before knowing that they also make hot breakfast. I had some of that as well. Omelette was delish and I asked for some grilled sausage and got 3!!!. Should have been more specific. The location, age, condition and staff make this hotel/guesthouse a 5+. Would stay again and may even change our plans to go back just for this place.

Very nice place to stay
Hotel and room were fantastic. Beautifully restored old building. We were in room 2: spacious, beautiful, and well appointed. Breakfast was very good, simple but fresh and delicious. Parking is limited to just 2 cars, so get there early if you are driving and hope no one is staying over another night. Wifi is a bit off and on, but don't go here if you are working, it is too nice.

A trip back in time with a cozy place to stay
The Citadel at Sighisoara is such an interesting place to explore and to have a charming place to stay right in its midst is outstanding. Every nook and cranny of Fronius Residence holds a treat or surprise for the senses.

This was a fantastic hotel. Large atmospheric room, very clean and well equipped. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. And the most perfect location, right inside the citadel. Parking was limited and not that easy but finally got a space

This is a very small hotel with only nine rooms, I booked for 2 nights, coming from Brașov, I wanted to give myself time to explore Sighisoara and the surrounding area, Fronius was a great choice for me because I tend to orefer smaller quieter hotels, their service is great, they provide a big table of assorted food for breakfast, and the staff is discrete and unobtrusive. Don't expect an elevator or a lot of people coming to grab your luggage and run upstairs, since it is a small property, expect a small but very courteous staff that will do what is needed to cater to your needs. They know the area and their citadel very well and gave me a great recommendation for a day guide, her name is Cosmina, I also totally recommend her, so knowledgeable! I had a very large room facing the street and the clock tower, with a modern bathroom, I took a soaking bath in the tub twice and enjoyed the quietness of Sighisoara at night reading my book. Talk to the staff, have a glass of Palinca, get to know them, if they seem a bit shy at first, go beyond that, they are very nice people eager to share what they know with you. I had an unforgettable stay and plan to return with my partner, I loved it!

If you are looking at hotels in Sighisoara, Romania, you are in for a great stay in an amazing city with beautiful countryside. Staying at Fronius Residence is an oasis not to be missed. I booked it, and as we arrived, my wife said, "I can't believe we are staying here." We drive up a hill (cars, unless staying at the hotel, are not permitted in the old neighborhood) and through the arch of the fortress walls. We are in the citadel. We have travelled back in time. The hotel, however, maintained its old warm charm with all modern necessities. Comfortable mattresses, great linens, beautiful glass shower, and a welcoming staff. One of the most memorable places we have stayed.

We stayed in a wonderful medieval house that retained many of the original features. Other parts of the property had been sympathetically restored. Right in the centre of Sighisora. Great choice. A separate shower, instead of over the bath, would have been our preference.Being on 2nd floor, meant quite steep stairs.We found it quite expensive for similar properties in locality.

Excellent and extremely helpful staff. But its in a old building I was very comfortable though. Hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the old city center. Excellent hotel. Would stay there again

An excellent hotel - we loved it.
We had a wonderful time at the Fronius. The room was beautiful with a huge bathroom. The staff were wonderful. The location in the Old Town was ideal...but it was hard to find. Our directions from Google were not good!

The hotel is an incredible experience!
We loved the attention to detail and the opulence of the hotel - just staying here is an amazing experience. The facilities are perfect and the care of the staff was superb - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough!

A room with the power to make you happy!
The room in a home from the 1600s was so light, comfortable, well designed, and with a huge window that from the bed we could see a clock tower built in the 1300s, we would rate it as the most pleasant and desirable hotel we have ever stayed in.

Amazing Experience
Truly amazing hotel in the heart of the village. Great staff! Great food! Even though it's 450 years old it has super modern amenities. Great decor!

Right in the heart of the Citadel
This hotel was beyond all expectations. The antiques, the architecture and the location were amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Well worth the money. The rooms are decorated in subdued pleasing colors chock full of lovely furniture. Can't think of a negative thing about this lovely boutique hotel.

Beautiful room, but hard to get to hotel by car.
Really beautiful room, very large, comfortable and so beautifully decorated. Had quite a bit of trouble getting to the hotel by car, as the road to it was signed "authorized vehicles only" and the directions given by hotel staff never mentioned this - they weren't too helpful with directions. Romania has few road/street signs, but this one was especially tricky. Car was parked very safely in covered gated driveway. Many steep steps to our room - surprised and dismayed there were so many babies at hotel! Breakfast was very tasty with some surprises. Good location for the sights. Very cute hotel with antique furnishings. If you don't mind spending the extra money, a nice treat.
