We loved Tonle Tropic

From the airport pickup (free) to the day we left, we had excellent service from Ariel and the whole team at Tonle Tropic. We had Smey as our tuk tuk driver around AngKorea for 2 days, he was appointed by the hotel and was great. The chef went out of her way to make my girlfriend a special ginger tea one day when she did not feel well. The hotel is 10 mins walk to Pub Street or a 2 dollar tuk tuk ride. It is very quiet at night and the room is clean and tidy.

Great staffs

I have booked this hotel relying on the review. The staffs were as good as the ones in a fancy resort. They were not only kind but helped us in every possible way. The only flaw in the gem is an air conditioner. Because it is humid hot we had to use it while sleeping. It would have been great if the cold air was coming out indirectly.

We spent three weeks in Southeast Asia and this was our favorite hotel! John and the staff were absolutely amazing. They gave us great local recommendations, helped us book a bus and arrange transportation, and served the most delicious breakfasts and dinners. This hotel has a great, quiet location with the museum across the river and a quick walk to the night markets. You easily can get a tuk-tuk to the markets for about two dollars if you do not want to walk back. This hotel is eco friendly, English speaking, and provides a perfect pool with excellent service. We recommend the Butterfly Pea for familys, couples, and singles alike! Would stay here again!

Great hotel with an excellent staff.

Great stay at this hotel. The service was amazing and the employees were very accommodating. A few things to note, there are no elevators, which sucks if you have a lot of luggage with you. The hotel staff was able to assist though. Water tends to leak out of the shower when you shower. Not sure if it was just our shower but I found that I needed to ask for towels to stop the water from flowing into the room. This could be hazardous to others because the floors got slippery after every shower. The hotel is very close to the center of Siem Reap, and most days you can hear loud music. It wasn’t annoying or anything but if you tend to go to bed early it could prove bothersome. Overall we had a great stay, The hotel is beautiful. Like most hotels mosquitoes are always present but the hotel staff has repellent on hand.

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I was traveling solo and couldn’t have found a more welcoming place. The hotel is quiet but within easy walking distance to the crazy busy downtown night market scenes. The hotel restaurant is excellent as is the one just around the block. They helped arrange all my tours and transportation and made recommendations to help me make the right choices. The manager also allowed me to change my room to one facing the street with a nearly floor-ceiling window, at no charge when the room became available. The other beautifully designed room was huge, with a large bathtub and walk-in shower, but it faced a wall, with limited direct sunlight. I would definitely return.

Mysigt litet boutiquehotell i Siem Reap

Butterfly pea är definitivt värt pengarna men förvänta er inget storslaget. Personalen är fantastiskt trevlig och hjälpsam, om än inte vidare bra på engelska. Rummen är riktigt trevliga och rymliga, iaf 203 som vi bodde i. De fokuserar på eko vilket innebär att det knappt finns plast på hotellet, något som för oss är ett stort plus! När det kommer till frukost så är det beställning som gäller och ej buffé. Tyvärr är den amerikanska (ägg, bacon etc) lite tråkig och innehåller till stor del vitt bröd, här finnas förbättringspotential. Poolen är liten men väldigt fräsch. Dock finns det bara 4 solstolar så se till att vara där i tid! Avståndet till Angkor Wat är mycket bra, tar dryga 10 min med tuk tuk till biljettstationen, och ungefär det samma in till centrala Siem Reap.

現在滞在中。 空港までのトゥクトゥク送迎を事前にメールしてくれ、チェックイン後に行きたい所のプランを相談できます。 到着が9時だったため、アンコールワットやアンコールトムなど一日まわる周遊コースに夕日をプラスし、翌日は朝日と西洋のモナリザまで少し足を伸ばしました。 ドライバーさんはずっと一緒で担当制でしてくれているようです。 ホテルの従業員さんは皆とても親切で、私のつたない英語でも根気よく？（笑）丁寧に対応、会話を楽しみました。 ホテルはとても綺麗でオシャレです。 最終日はチェックアウトまでプールサイドで読書などしつつ待つつもりです。 滞在中のオプションプランなどはチェックアウト時に清算。帰りの送迎費用はドライバーさんに直接払うシステムみたいです。

I stayed for six nights. The staff members are friendly and attentive. Location is in central Siem Reap and a good location for walking around the city or for short tuk tuk rides. Good service with the meals. Room worked well and had a view of the pool and street.

The hotel is new and very stylish. Most important: the awesome team that really goes above and beyond to make things happen. John the hotel owner really fulfilled his dream and the best part he lets others participate. The food is great, prices are really fair and all tours are organised by the hotel. Angkor is incredible and you should not miss it. We will for sure be back!

One of the best hotel experiences I have had and it felt like we were at home. We spent 6 days in Siem Reap and staying at the butterfly pea made the experience even better. Great breakfast, great drinks, amazing staff, and very clean rooms. Very quaint and close to the main area. Our tuk-tuk driver Mr. Pich recommended by the hotel was just wonderful, he showed us all the great spots in Angkor wat and the town. If you get an opportunity to talk to John the owner, ask him about the local eats and spots. We will definitely be staying at The Putterfly Pea again next time.

Very friendly staff and great hotel

We were a group of 12 friends and we all loved the place! Extremely friendly and smiled staff speaking good English, modern design that was very cool. We were very thankful to have early check in and after checking out the staff offered us a room to take showers, change clothes and rest before our flight. Good food and prices. We recomend to stay there if you are in Siem Reap

The hotel is new, clean, and lovely. Breakfast is included and delicious. They have a small bar and restaurant. The staff does speak English relatively well and are very helpful with whatever you need and eager to please. The owner is present often, from the USA, and very open to providing assistance or a chat. Tuk Tuk drivers are immediately available outside the hotel so transportation is not an issue and the staff will assist with that as well. They were helpful in arranging hotel transportation and would have with tours, but I arranged my own prior to my visit. Location is very good. I have no complaints and nothing but positive things to say about this hotel.

This place was a little oasis. The rooms are mighty comfy, especially the little outside room and outdoor bath. The staff are very friendly and are trying their best. It feels like a home away from home.

Honestly, I’m a bit impressed. Seldom I saw a hotel like this. The rooms are good. But the staff are so excellent, and made me smile every day! Great hotel, highly recommended.

宿泊者は２０人前後で部屋数も多くない、そのためスタッフも多くなくちょっとドタバタした感じ、３日目の朝食はたまたま十数人が一緒に食べたのか、時間がかかってちょっとドタバタした感じ、アラカルトで種類が多くないので、複数滞在では飽きてくる。 スタッフは親切だが、部屋の風呂の栓が壊れていて初日は風呂に入れなかったが、２日目はちゃんとお湯は出た。 ２日目の朝食は、時間の都合で前日に注文しておいたが、連絡が行っていなかった。

Awesome boutique hotel with a great staff!

I had a great stay at The Butterfly Pea. It is a nice boutique hotel that was recently redone to have an open feeling. I reached Siem Reap early and they still checked me in ahead of time and even upgraded me to the balcony room. The staff is very friendly and is very helpful in arranging rides, trips, recommending places to eat, etc. The resident cook is also really good for both local and western food. I also had a chance to meet the owner and he is also a great guy. I had a great time at The Butterfly Pea and Siem Reap that I decided to stay an extra day. I highly recommend this place...

Loved this hotel!

This hotel was awesome and the owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. I recommend the Butterfly Pea hotel to anyone staying in Seam Reap.
