Nice little budget friendly place. Internet was very spotty. It felt like I was using dialup again. Hard to communicate with staff at times but they are helpful. No restaurant but there a plenty of options nearby.

It’s a lovely little hotel full of south East Asian quirks and charm. It’s a little set back from the main areas and the nightlife and the streets around there aren’t great but it’s clean, friendly and good value.

Good hotel for the price range. Pool great. Convenient to access everything. Quiet and safe. Bed was hard as a rock. Breakfast was a winner - recommend the eggs Benedict and the waffles. Our son loved the fried rice

Nice hotel with helpful staff
Chheng Residence is a nice and relaxing hotel located in a rather calm and safe area just outside the city centre with ten minutes walking distance to the pub street. The staff is very attentive and helpful. They offer tours to the temple area and other places with own tuk-tuk drivers to a good price. They also provide free pick up at the airport. My room was clean and nice and had everything I needed. The pool area is relaxing. The breakfast is good, there are options for both Asian as well as western people.

Best place in town
It was the best. Just like being at home. Nice big bedroom, beautiful people, made my birthday 🎁 So special. Breakfast was great!!! You can’t go wrong by staying here.

They have these deep bathtubs that fit 2 people nicely and water that is actually quite hot. The breakfast was good (fresh ground coffee) The room was very quiet, the AC worked well. The bed is a "typical Asian" bed (harder than most westerners like) but still quite comfortable. Sheets were a good weight and clean. There are no elevators, so if you have a lot of luggage tell them to book you the first floor (but they will carry your luggage too). Also, the tuktuk driver will pick you up from the airport or take you there one time FREE. Overall, very good value. Learn a little Khmer before you come, people are so excited when you can say a few things in the language here.

Great stay in Chheng Residence. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful as well. The staff Bunroth is very proactive in assisting us. Food in the restaurant is very good.

An amazing place to stay
This small hotel is an amazing place to stay while visiting Angkor area. It’s super clean and quiet, within walking distance to the Pub Street. A super market is nearby and has everything you might need. All the hotel staff are super friendly. The free breakfast is beyond our expectations, with so many choices you can order and cook fresh for you. And they also provide all kinds of tours with reasonable prices. We stayed here for seven day and wished we could stay longer!

Lovely hotel find in Siem Reap
Lovely hotel with nice rooms and nice pool area. Very comfortable, clean and great location for main markets, restaurants and bars. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast too! Gym could do with some weights etc, but not exactly a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a gem!
We loved our stay at Chheng Residence! Super nice and big rooms, amazing pool area, friendliest staff, security all night to watch our rented bikes and feel safe. Food for breakfast was very good! Best hotel we have stayed at all trip, esp for the price we paid. Only downfall is we were not able to get hot water for showers, but it was not a big deal and LOVED it there still.

Quiet and enjoyable stay
Had a great 3 night stay in the family room travelling as a group of three friends. Firm beds, quiet and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff. We had stairs to our first floor room and a step up to the the bathroom (seems to be a standard thing in Cambodia). Breakfast had a wide range of made-to-order options, both Khmer and Western choices. Pool is mostly out of the sun and refreshing. Easy walking distance to markets and Pub St.

We absolutely loved staying at Chheng Residence! Walkable to everything and still quiet and secluded, this place was perfect. But what really made our stay awesome was the staff. Wonderful place to stay! Great staff and pool.
Everything from getting picked up at the airport, to scheduling temple tours, to breakfast was perfect! We stayed for five nights, but could have stayed more. Their tuk tuk driver Chea (not sure how to spell his name) was their to pick us up at the airport and was our driver for the three days we spent exploring the temples. He also took us back to the airport. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The free breakfast was fantastic! More like fine dining, and the restaurant staff was so nice every morning. The location was an easy walk to restaurants, bars, shops and the night market. And the pool was a lifesaver. I cannot stress enough how wonderful that pool felt after a long day at the temples in the hot and humid heat. We will definitely stay here next time we visit.

Great hotel in Siem Reap
Overall a great hotel for the price! Rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is perfect if you prefer a quieter neighborhood, and Pub Street is a short walk or quick tuktuk ride away. The best part is their friendly and very helpful staff! Only one complaint: the shower drain in our bathroom was clogged and very slow to drain, so the bathroom floor was always wet. Also, we suggest placing a bathroom mat by the sink to help keep the area tidy.

Front desk staff were great and helpful! English speaking staff always willing to help you with your queries with a smile Room is spacious and generally clean but bathroom design is a little strange (whole bathroom floods when showering as there is no compartmentalisation). The tuktuk driver the hotel arranged for our airport transfer and for the 2 days temples tours we book was GREAT. Very friendly, polite and attentive driver. The only bad feedback I have for this place is the HOUSEKEEPING staff. Housekeeping staff was SLOPPY - tissue boxes were left empty for days, did not clean up properly. And they also reported back and (almost) charged us extra twice for drinking their mineral water from the minibar (which we obviously did not, and the bottles are still in there). Probably, the housekeepinf staff doesnt even know how many of each drink is supposed to be in the minibar in the first place. So tourists, beware! Always double check if they bill you for stuff you did not drink!

Great stay!!
We stayed for a week and enjoyed it! The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Pubstreet so it is nice and quiet. Nice big room with big bathroom!! The staff is friendly and helpful! I booked our room with breakfast and I am glad I did!! It is cooked fresh to order and yummy!!! They have several choices on the menu and they have a real coffee machine (I loved that because I do not like instant)!! Would definitely recommend staying here (just be mindful there is no lift)!

Lovely boutique hotel.
I met my two adult daughters in Siem Reap for a couple of days. We stayed in one of the large family rooms with three beds. This hotel was great. The air con is new, so it feels pleasant. Not too cold and not smelly. The staff is fabulous. Yes, they will sell you drivers for the day at slightly elevated prices. That’s how they make their money. And the drivers are all reputable, so it’s maybe worth the price. The breakfast is sufficient although they were out of coffee, which seemed weird. One other unusual thing is that everything in the hotel is numbered. And they will charge you if even a coffee cup gets broke. We bought a teapot after the lid slipped off. They have cheap drinks for happy hour, as does everyone else in Siem Reap, if that’s your thing. The best thing about this hotel is its size, 21 rooms. That means no big tour groups, which are so annoying.

Chheng Residennce is a great hotel to stay at. Staff will make you feel welcome and will do everything they can to make you feel great and enjoy your holiday at Siem Reap. From the delicious breakfast to the yummy dinner menu, the restaurant will exceed your expectations. The area where the hotel is located has a lot of options for shopping and it is very quiet at night. The pool is exceptionally well maintained. Also, they helped me plan my visit to Angkor Wat with detailed tours. Great choice for my husband and me to enjoy the beautiful city of Siem Reap at an affordable price.

Like a small paradise
The facility was beautiful. Staff, esp the waitresses and chef in the hotel restaurant superb. The chef's sweet potato-sesame treat after dinner superb! Room spacious and comfortable. WiFi always strong. Supermarket 6 minutes away and many restaurants nearby. 15 minutes to night market. Excellent value.

Exceptional hotel and exceptional staff
Our experience was extremely good! The staff is really friendly, polite and kind. They worry about you all the time. They arrange our room for a honey moon stay in a really pretty way! All was wonderful. They offer tuk tuk trips to the temples well organized and in our experience Mr. Chang was the best! A nice, friendly and polite guy! We definitely recommend this hotel for travellers for sure we are going to come back in the future!

Stayed 3 nights, some construction happening, but that is Cambodia. The staff here are really amazing. They couldn't be more helpful. Every detail perfect. We will be very happy to return, and the gym will be up and running!

Nice and clean. Bathroom a bit dingy but only because it’s concrete and not tile. Hard to make concrete look good. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice clean pool. Overall very good rating.

Really nice hotel
Such friendly staff! Always welcoming you and smiling. We had the nicest tuk tuk man, to pick us up in the airport and drive us around Angkor Wat. We felt safe. Really nice room, and cool barthroom. Nice pool, however, it was nearly in the shadow all day. A remark is, that the breakfast was a bit boring

Highly recommend this hotel
My roommate and I both agreed that we liked this hotel better than the 5-star Himawari Hotel in Phenom Penh, where our group had stayed; we were here for a side trip to Angkor Wat. The shower stall in the bath was a bit ancient, however, everything else here was super. We couldn't get the wifi to work at the Himawari, which cost much more (though they did provide a portable router which we couldn't use), but the Chheng was satisfactory in every way. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was by menu (free), not buffet, and it was sumptuous, and included exquisitely carved exotic fruit, the best I had in Cambodia this trip. It's a bit hard to find, best to call the hotel for free pick-up from the airport.

Really didn't want to leave.
Excellent. Everything was excellent. From the greeting to the leaving the staff could not be more kind, helpful or professional. Welcome drinks, refreshing swimming pool, clean and spacious room with a wonderfully comfortable bed. Great breakfast with wide choice. They arranged our trips to the temples and onward transport. Walking distance to the old market, river and pub street, though a tuc tuc is only $2 if you don't want to stroll home. We even extended our stay because we were so comfortable.
