"Because we had train delays we were late booking in.Not a problem though The friendly receptionist was very welcoming. The bed was huge and after a very stressful day we had agood nights sleep in the most comfortable bed. Checkout was not until 12 noon so we had time for a quick visit to the city centre which is about a 5 minutes walk away The train station is just across the road so this is a very convenient place to stay"

We did not stay for breakfast as we we had to travel on early next day but the tea we had in the garden was lovely. The thatched guest house was in easy access for walks & visit to Sidmouth. "Quite superb. A free upgrade was the iceing on our delicious cake. My only, minor, observation is the lack of usb/apple sockets. Easily corrected by replacing existing 3-pin with multi sockets, and so helpful in this increasingly device-dependent world."

"We have stayed here 3 times now. It is a great value for a short stay near Exeter. It may look basic but the rooms are clean and tidy and a good breakfast too. Easy access to M5 and 10 mins drive into Exeter. Free parking."
