"The toilets. As tourists from America were not used to the toilets and we found that to be pretty fascinating even though it's common for you guys throughout Japan. We appreciate it. The cleanliness room service was good. Breakfast was different from what we're used to eating but it was nice. It was healthy. It was fresh and convenient"

"Our stay was a great experience. I was able to relax and decompress despite my very short 16h stay thanks to the private and public open air baths, snacks, yukata, and attentive and welcoming staff. We initially were not sure how to get to the property from the Shirakawa Go bus terminal and had started a 30-minutr walk. But!--before we got to far, we spotted a shuttle with the Onyado Yui no Sho sign. We luckily were able to board the shuttle. We opted for the dinner and breakfast reservations and it definitely was a highlight of the experience-- traditional and fresh foods served as 3(?) courses, presented in beautiful dining pieces. Our sever was very friendly and accommodating, and even sought feedback on his English! (He shared with us that he has studied and plans to continue studying abroad, and his English will only improve!) I am very awe-inspired by the staff's dedication to hospitality. Our room was beautiful, clean, and spacious! Beds were comfortable. I will plan to return to Onyado Yui no Sho in the near future for much needed self-care and healing."

"Wonderful staff trying to do their best in the middle of a remodel in a dated property - few restaurant options near the hotel - Unfortunately, we had no view to the lake because of the remodel; however, we were never informed about this neither by the hotel not by hotels.com when we made the reservation. "

"The staff were fantastic!! They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Traditional Japanese breakfast was very good and the outdoor onsen was a nice experience "

"Great place to stay near the train station. The staff were nice and there are a lot of free amenities offered. It was quiet, we could not hear any street traffic. Would recommend this hotel. Only recommendation is the clothes dryers didn’t really dry. Dried for 1.5 hours and they were still wet. Maybe this is just Japanese dryers?"

"I very much liked this place. And they did me a favor, I wasn’t able to use the purple bimi ticket, so they made a dinner option just for me, and I looked at the menu- the dinner was worth more than the cost of the ticket. They helped me out beyond what they needed to do, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Excellent restaurant- awesome Sashimi. Unfortunately closed on Monday nights? Need transportation to get around. ( I took taxi kinda spendy. )The Spa has awesome natural spring water. The staff eas awesome."
