This home was super close to the pool and provided exactly what we needed- plenty of clean sleeping spaces and bathrooms. We all agreed that booking this home was a far better experience than a busy hotel and we plan to hopefully stay here again next year!"

"We had the whole family here. My wife and I, our three daughters and grandkids for a total of 9 of us. This place was perfect for us. Plenty of rooms for all, and the large kitchen gave us lots of room for all to gather at meal time without tripping over each other. We loved the large yard where the kids could run off their energy and the large deck was a real joy. When we had a question we got answers almost immediately. That was a real bonus. "Mr. Hunter's cottage is a lovely cottage from a by-gone era. Located in the mountains of Giles county, VA, this cottage is comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The cottage is furnished with pieces that could have been there when it was built. The cottage has a beautiful porch, a great place for morning coffee. There is a very nice restaurant just steps from the cottage. I advise having at least one meal there, make sure you have reservations, as it can get quite busy. The restaurant was...

"This was our 4th stay. We love the location - so close to many hiking trails and Va Tech. It is quiet and peaceful; it has beautiful views of the mountains, and it has a wonderful, fenced area for the dogs - and it even has a doggy door that our dogs learned to use. The house has everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. When we were not out exploring, we spent our time in the sunroom. We hope to visit again next year!"

"Once we arrived, everything was fine. But getting there was a bear! Also, the bunk bed--being the only bed--was a bit difficult to get into, and even more dangerous getting out of. But the place was filled with color and all kinds of hipster decorations--there was even a stuffed party hat! Overall, the drive was arduous up mountain roads with locals lining up behind us 10 and 12 cars long. A fun and weird experience, all said and done. Not sure we would recommend, though."

"I like it. I would book again but in warmer weather for me. I enjoy the scenry, the openness and the quietness. One suggestion, maybe i overlooked it but state that cell phone connectivity is low due to area. If you have a wifi code you should include it in welcome letter as when you get there the service is very low to non existing."

"The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."
