"The owner provided sufficient information about the accommodation and then moved us to the basement during our stay. The photos do not correspond to reality. The communication from the owner was very unpleasant."

"The hotel was excellent. The best part of the hotel was the General Manager. He was considerate and kept regular contact. I have been travelling for 45 years now and have been to best part of the world. But the General Manager was the best who kept personal contact and any concern i showed he acted to solve it there and then although there were not many concerns. Most of the staff spoke english. If any staff didn't understand they ran to the room to ask again. When ever i travel to Shanghai for sure I'll stay in this hotel. the air freshener they use is the next level I asked Ben about the air fresher and he was nice enough to leave a bottle for me. This is what traveller wants a personal touch. Well done you guys I stayed in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou but the most ,memorable stay was Shanghai.

"Would have scored excellent for all, however, at buffet breakfast when one of the staff had asked if I wanted a tea, she did not come back with my tea"
Jinglai Hotel (Shanghai Bund East Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street)

"Walking distance to EVERYTHING!
Staff were super friendly! Helped us with directions, and phone calls that we couldn’t make with our international phone numbers! This location is a bit harder to find, it’s in the alley way that taxis don’t drive into, so you have to walk to the hotel with your luggage. Just one thing we were disappointed about, the elevator doesn’t reach the first floor! If you have luggage, you must carry them up to the second floor to reach the elevator, and it’s super tiny."
"Ive stayed at many hotels on nanjing road, this is one of the better ones. The staff was nice and helpful. The morning buffet is great (if you got that option) and the dinner one is decent.
The area around this hotel can be a hustle and bustle, but that is expected since youre located right next to a popular tourist street. "
