"Great location and the staff were fantastic, especially Lucy. The room was exceptionally clean with lots of amenities but the mattress wasn’t that comfortable. Would stay again on a different bed. Good value for the area and great breakfast."

"Surrounding area is beautiful. The property is very nice, the rooms are clean and the bathroom was good. The breakfast was very good too. Only thing I would say is that the bar was not serving the night we stayed (a Sunday) and that would have been good to know when we booked. Other than that, very good."

"We had a lovely stay here at the Shakespeare Inn. Rooms are away from the busier high streets. We had a quiet nights sleep. Staff are very friendly and accommodaating. "

"Very good a-la-carte breakfast. Nice location, close to the old town and few minutes walk from the train station. Complementary, delicious cookies in the room. Charming hotel and bedrooms, one issue is that water was dropping in the bedroom from the ceiling, from time to time. I notified the reception so I hope they fixed the issue. "

"My partner and I came up north for a hike, we spent two nights here and it was great; a good location and a peaceful scenery. Breakfast was good as well. Post services was amazing as I lost my headphones, and they were able to find it and offered to send it via post. I would absolutely recommend this place."

However for the last two remaining days we had the misfortune of new noisy next door neighbours who made our stay a bit uncomfortable. The walk round the lake was very nice and the in-house restaurant offering reasonably priced dining options."
