"The staff were brilliant and made our stay so enjoyable. Food was excellent both for the breakfast and evening meal. Our Room was cleaning and comfortable with a nespresso machine, premium teabags and fresh milk available from a fridge in the landing were welcome additions. "Room was clean and spotless. The hosts Jeramy and Noi were fantastic! Lovely fire going with comfy couches. The Thai food and breakfasts were excellent! Would definitely stay again! Cheers P and K"
"I am sorry to say that our stay was unexpectedly very bad. Even as we checked in the property was cold. There was NO HEATING and no HOT WATER. After many tephone calls we were told that the we boiler was not functioing. We were given grossly inadequate heaters which did little to correct the situation. It completely wrecked the evening which was the celebration of my wife's 70th Birthday. Our first night was a nightmare with no ability for us and our guests to have shower for two full days even after the boiler was fixed late evening on the second day.
In the absence of the hot water, even the addition of the two stable rooms, my guests have we complained to me bitterly. 7 of us were elderly guests with health issues and a 2.5 year old baby, so you can imagine the risks we were subjected to.
There were water leaks in two of the bathrooms.
Wendy the site manager did her best to help. Took on personal responsibility to solve the issue, but in the absence of effective technical help, she wasn't able to resolve the issues.
I demand a full refund of my payment as the basic nessecities were not provided, and we had no option to find suitable alternative accommodation for so many guests at such a short notice.

Little Barn South Cambridgeshire just 8 Miles from the city of Cambridge
10/10 Excellent
"Little Barn was a lovely place for a short break, it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast items were of a good quality as were all the toiletries, we were very impressed. The location was idea for driving to the nearest park and ride into Cambridge and was very quiet. It was not warm enough for us to sit outside unfortunately but the garden looked beautiful. We would love to make a return visit in the summer. One small suggestion would be the provision of a sharp knife for cutting up fruit etc."
"Cracking wee pub, the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size well presented, and very tidy. The breakfast was great - thank you"
"Very clean and very comfortable, with very good air conditioning - very welcome on the hottest day of the year!
My only criticism is the booking process guidelines are not clear and the online system needs improvement. It was not made clear that we would not receive the email with access instructions until the security process was completed and the deposit paid. Then, when trying to pay the deposit, it was not clear that Amex was not accepted and the system just said "declined" right at the end of the process. So we had to make a couple of calls to the 24/7 helpline to clarify check-in which was annoying, although they were very helpful.
We would definitely stay again as the rooms were fabulous, but for first-time guests the process should be clearer."
