Beautiful, clean room. Staff was helpful. Great location. We bought the breakfast the first day but it wasn’t great for the cost. Cambridge was a beautiful city and we walked everywhere which was nice.

The room was clean and quiet. The staff were very helpful and polite. There is no parking for the hotel but there is a loading only bay about 20 meters from the entrance.

We had a great stay at the Hobson, the rooms were immaculate, the staff were super friendly and the bed was sooo comfy. It’s also in a great location, just a short walk from the city centre. Would definitely recommend staying here!☺️

The room was spacious and its useful to have a small ‘kitchen’ area. It is in a great location. However, they say they only service the room every 3 days—but we were there 4 nights and our room was never serviced. The bins were overflowing and the towels dirty. Also the air conditioning and heating system didn’t work. Also the bathtub/shower is very difficult to get in and out of, especially for older folks.

Lovely hotel and rooms, beautiful building and nicely located. Rooms were large and my room had a small kitchenette. There is a beautiful restaurant which was where they used to take he old trains, breakfast is also available here too. There is also a lovely staircase with stained glass. Jessica helped me upon arrival and was very friendly and helpful. Tamara the manager introduced herself and also checked the next morning how my stay was. Thank you

The staff at this hotel were very helpful. The front desk was wonderful and the reception area is nice and cool and air-conditioned. The hotel restaurant had good food, although the menu was not that clear. It is a beautiful hotel, and the restaurant is in an inner courtyard, which is very lovely. The trade-off was that this was a little bit far from the university and the places that we wanted to be walking around. Wouldn’t have been a big deal, except the weather was very hot this week so walking took more of a toll.

Central location. Easy transfer from Trumpington Park & Ride. Easy check in. Comfortable room 201. Breakfast good, although not always easy for the staff to manage and maintain. 2 pay points in Oz & Isle would help service. Room 201 underfloor heating kept switching on. Bath was slippery when showering. Thank you for looking after us.

Beautiful building, lovely room, clean and spacious. unfortunately the underfloor heating in the bathroom would not turn off, we had the air con on 16 in our room the entire stay however our room was still very warm and the bathroom unbearable. Reception stated this is an issue they are aware of but don’t know where the heat is coming from, maybe that room should be closed until it can be fixed.

The hotel has only been open about 6mths. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was just like brand new. Shower was powerful. The location is prefect for exploring Cambridge, only about 5-10 mins walk from the centre but the design of the rooms shelter you from any noise from the main road. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The only disappointment was the breakfast, having pre paid for breakfast, found out they only offered a very limited cooked options (fried eggs, bacon, mushroom and tomatoes). If you wanted any of the other cooked options, they were extra. Having said that I may have misunderstood what the pre-paided breakfast included. Overall highly recommend this hotel. Great location, beautiful building and professional staff. Nearly forgot to mention the relaxing and beautiful restaurant/bar area.

Good location and lovely property It’s a new venue and unfortunately they still have some teething issues . Had to get 4 different keys ,lift not working and leak in reception which unfortunately has ruined a lovely oak table. Room was great though well laid out and had everything you needed including kettle coffee machine microwave and clothes steamer. We would stay again

Great check in experience. Got there before 1pm and my room was ready. The staff ran through all I needed to know about the hotel and virtually took me to my room. The room was clean and comfortable, which had a small kitchenette. Nice to have a Nespresso machine, great touch. I had a great nights sleep in a lovely bed, what more could you want. The shower was easy to use even for me! You push a button and works! Brilliant. The building itself is stunning, especially the restaurant/bar which has lots of history. All the staff there are so helpful and kind, I’ll be coming back that’s for sure. I highly recommend this hotel.

I'd booked this weekend for my boyfriend's birthday. Great location, small room, clean other than a hair in the shower upon entering. Shower was terrible, had to use the hand attachment which would make hair washing tricky. Toilet constantly trying to fill up (did mention shower & toilet to receptionist, but there was no improvement). I'd also asked for something to be left in the room for my boyfriends birthday & exoected to pay, but this was nlt done.

Look for a building that says POLICE as the only hotel sign was on the door. Staff was very nice. Dining area is beautiful and breakfast was good. Room was clean and air conditioning was good.

We mini-mooned at The Hobson and had a such a good experience we booked an extra night! Beautiful buildings, rooms and wonderful service. Chris behind the front desk couldn't do enough for us, taking pictures of us in our wedding finery in the impressive setting and making us feel very special. The restaurant is reasonably priced for such high-quality food. Try the octopus!
