I liked everything about the hotel, especially the decor of the room, except the steep stairs down to the kitchen and out to the street, and that there was much noise from out on the street until late. Would stay there again, but would be more careful about which part of the building the room was in.

Staff was so approachable and helpful, and made my stay really pleasant. Street parking was a bit of a challenge at times, but that's not their fault obviously. Really cool suite and vibe. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Seattle. Thanks for the great stay!

Enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable. Staff very nice. Good water pressure and lots of nice touches. It's an old building but the renovations are cute and perfectly comfortable. Liked the free breakfast and was able to park close by for a reasonable price.

The room was extremely cold. There is only a old oil heater in the room and there is no way to control the temperature. My husband was wearing a winter coat inside the room.

We do our best to explain upon check in, and also on our 411 sheet we give to guests upon arrival how to operate the radiator. They can be tricky if you have not used one before. Enjoyed my stay - location was very walkable - about 15 min walk to the link train station which was convenient and close to all the sites. My room and shared bathroom area were quite clean. There was a bit of a musty smell when you first walk in the room but it wasn't too bad... Loved the shared kitchen downstairs! Nice touch. Staff were also very friendly and helpful! Would stay again. Staff and location 10/10. Kitsch factor for a boutique hotel 8/10. Execution for a hotel 5/10. Having stayed at other ACE hotels, this is better classified at an elevated hostel. Room and front door keys are actual keys, and front desk is not staffed in the evening. At 11:30pm, could not get into the front door bc the keys had been recut and mine did not work. Called the after hours line, got a recorded message. Called the second number listed, went to voicemail. Called again and spoke to very pleasant person who was going to come into town and help me, but lives 30-40 minutes away. Seattle, while better than it was 2 years ago, is still not safe downtown at night for a solo person. Considering this, I had to wait next to a hotel entrance, and convince another guest that I was staying there so I could get in when they did. Television received no signal so unusable. 1) hospitality business necessitates attention to detail, like checking that all keys work when locks are rekeyed, and the novelty factor of having actual brass key doesn’t do it for me, get a card system 2)a part time staffing of reception doesn’t work when you’re closest on site help is 30-40 minutes away 3)this is not a safe part of town at night, to put other guests in the position of having to let someone in the building is awful. There should be a remote ability to unlock the door. Ace hotel is a great brand, however this location misses the mark. This is a “mid”

Staff was very friendly and polite upon both check-in/out. Property was clean. Stayed for one night before a cruise trip. Walkable (1/2 mike) to Pier 66 but must walk downhill crossing railroad tracks. What was unique and different about the property- the entrance to the front desk; must climb 23 steps from the front entrance. There are no elevators. No bathroom/commode in the room, just a sink. You must walk out of the room to get to five separate personal showered/ commode (shared among all guests staying at the property). Able to lock so no one else enters, inconvenient however, we were staying for one night and the hotel was reasonably priced and walkable to Pier 66.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The continental breakfast was great every morning and the location was great to walk down to the water, space needle, and to scooters to explore the city even more. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Location next to restaurants was great. Shared bathrooms was good since there were enough so I didn’t have to wait to use a bathroom. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I really had great conversations with Kelly in the evening.

Great location!!
The staff here was amazing. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance to so many Seattle attractions. I would highly recommend!! The hotel is very clean and continental breakfast was perfect. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, just as a side note, but well worth the climb lol. The wonderful staff helped me with our luggage. We stayed after our cruise to Alaska.

Quirky industrial chic hotel in a historic venue
Hotel Ace is a hipster stylish small hotel in an old, in a quaint way, building near Pike's Place Market in the center of all the restaurants and bars of Belltown. We had a room with a private bath and king bed (there are rooms with shared baths--and the baths looks quite nice and clean, if that's something you would like). Our bathroom was large and modern, the room decent sized with nice linens and a comfy bed, and an odd private internal veranda, which did provide a little more space. Others in our party also with private rooms had no veranda, much smaller and dark bathrooms, but windows to the outside. It's an old building, so you can hear other guests fairly well. Walking distance to everything, so that's a plus. Small breakfast and coffee all day down many steep stairs in what looks like an office break room (no charm points there). No coffee in the room--a big con for me. Everything spotless and easy, if a little brusque, check in. Also, at least the weekend we stayed, the price was pretty high for what it was--but hey it's Seattle not Cleveland.

Great location, nice boutique feel
Straight away, customer service was amazing (thank you, Christina!). They don't have 24-hour staffing so you have to let them know if you'll be late or early. My flight was horribly delayed and when I arrived at midnight, staff was as friendly as if they hadn't been waiting for hours. Great boutique feel. Great location, handy to Clipper and downtown. Fab restaurants. Noisy bar below, though, so you have to not mind pounding music nights.
