"La Gemma was a beautiful place to stay. The host, Gemma, was such a lovely and hospitable person, making us feel welcome the moment we booked. She went above and beyond with our room and booking, walking us through maps of the area and events happening during our stay. She was also so kind and playfor with our 1 year old, giving her toys and making her a balloon animal. Breakfast was tailored and delicious. Overall a fantastic stay."

"Casa Hosteno was one of the highlights of our trip. The house itself is beautiful, tucked right in the heart of the old town, and Barbara was an exceptional host — friendly, attentive, and full of great local tips. The location couldn’t have been better, with easy access to the metro, trains, and ferries for exploring Naples and the nearby islands, plus countless fantastic restaurants just a short walk away. Highly recommend!"

"Very friendly staff. Helpful, considerate, very accommodating. Gabriele and Juliana were both very professional, personable, communicative and provided valuable information. They are both assets to the organization and made our stay perfect. I had only one observation in the outdoor dining area on the rooftop. The wait staff did not clean the table from the prior customers before serving me aperitivo."
"We arrived in the evening, so we needed a code to get in. Giangi, the owner, very kindly sent us details well in advance of our arrival and even made a personalised video on how to get to our room. On the day, we were welcomed by a note on the door, which was a nice touch. The room was spacious and clean and it was very close to the relaxation room, where you could get free coffee and water. There was a TV, a double and a single bed, and generous wardrobe space.
Giangi is the perfect host, offering help and advice whenever needed. He is very knowledgeable, so there is no problem when asking him for suggestions on what to see in Naples and the surrounding area.
The hotel is not suitable for disabled people and those with mobility issues, as it is a very old building with no lift. This is made clear on the hotel's own website, but not mentioned when I booked on Expedia. My mother has mobility issues and struggled with the stairs, so thankfully, we were roomed on the lowest floor.
The hotel is on Via Foria, one of the main arteries in Naples. It is not a quiet road at all and it is best to ensure your windows are closed at night if you don't want to hear the constant stream of car horns. Be very careful when crossing the road near the hotel because drivers and moped riders have a habit of not stopping at crossings.
Breakfast is at the Bar Foria between 7am and 10am.
A wonderful experience!"
"The place was great for our short stay in Naples! The host gave us helpful information to visit Naples with a map and description, was super helpful!
The place was very clean and breakfast on a terrace was a great bonus!
Highly recommended!"
"This was the perfect base for our short stay in Naples. Super convenient from the train station with plenty of food options nearby. We particularly loved the rooftop terrace which gave us a fantastic view over the city. We were also especially impressed with the service, the person on reception for most of our stay (I think his name was Francesco) was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was very comfortable and well fitted. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again. "
"This was a great place for me, my husband, and two daughters (ages 6 & 7) during out stay in Naples. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the superior apartment (aka value apartment), and it was huge! My daughters loved that there were bunk beds, and the staff even left two small teddy bears for my girls, which they loved!
The location was great for walking to so many different restaurants and was only about a 25-30 min taxi ride to/ from the airport. "
