"Paulo was a wonderful host and was very attentive to the 4 of us during our week long stay at his lovely house. He brought us fresh bread, good coffee as well as some fresh watermelon. He was always readily available to help with suggestions for restaurants and sites to see. We loved our stay at Paulo's home and would highly recommend it as it was a good base point for seeing the while island!"

Getting in through big gates and shutters felt unsettling . The grounds were large but seemed unfinished which wasn’t very inviting to sit outside. One of the reasons we choose this place was because of the beautiful grounds pictured."

"The view from the upper rooms of the ocean is breathtaking. The bed is comfortable and the small kitchen space has the basics of what you need. The patio space is shared with other units (although some bamboo provides a bit of privacy) so others smoking &/or having loud conversations can affect the tranquility. The surrounding area is farmland so it is very tranquil. The lodge is under renovation/construction - something we didn’t know. But the work stops in the afternoon so there was no issue. We would definitely stay here again for the views!"
