"The girl that it was at the front desk was super nice, the cleaning ladies were the best, being Americans we like a lot of towels and they gave us all the towels that we needed. "Initially the name of the place raised some concern. However, entry into the house reveals this is no ordinary hotel. It is exquisitely designed, with spectacular spaces, a marvelous pool and great staff. So, I give high marks for what is truly a charming house."

"We stayed at Moinho da Areia for three days and really enjoyed it. The location is right by the beach, so you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The bed was very comfortable, the room felt warm and inviting, and Cristina took great care of everything. It’s also a good base for exploring the island. We hope to return in the future."
