"The water park was amazing. The Beach Oasis Bar is the heated pool and swim up bar on the Grand side. (It was my favorite one). The kids club game room was “Out of service,” which was disappointing because the VR/arcade room they enforced 10 and up. The beach was not so great. Seemed like a man made beach. GET Platinum if you want to experience all access. Food was meh. Roads are patched up so the 90 min commute can be a bumpy ride. Also make sure you get the FREE transfer. They will encourage to pay for a taxi when it’s actually included."

"Superb location, about an hour SW from Montego Bay. Property delightful and well maintained. Rooms very comfortable. Excellent food with plenty of choices, and in an area of many other options …just walk down the beach in either direction to find additional dining options. Very clean beach and swimming areas, plus pristine pools and hot tub. Great staff; very responsive. "

"This is my 2nd year coming and will be back . The property is very clean staff is excellent and friendly. Beach is cleaned every morning for any debris. The buffet has a little something for everyone. I did not do the ala carts this time but last year they were excellent. When staying at the Reggae you have access to the sister resort riu montego but not riu palace. Montego is fairly large also adult only i prefer the smaller riu Reggae everything is close and not a far walking distance. Rooms are maintained daily and anything you need is a phone call away. Minibar is separate from housekeeping which gives you you basics of pop beer and water along with a dispenser of gin vodka rum and scotch. Again is just a phone call to get restocked 24 hrs a day. Every room has a balcony and coffee maker along with blowdryer shampoo conditioner and hand soap they don't have lotion so may want to bring some. I had fun with my housekeeper with a little origami towel war which makes there day a little better as they are working long hours everyday.there is no atm but a short 3 min walk takes you to a bank with atms. They have a jerk hut on the beach that serves fresh jerk chicken with some sides that was delicious but be careful if you cant do spice choose bbq over jerk sauce as that also has a mild bite. Also dont leave your dirty dishes by you or you will get swarmed by the bird haha..couple people found out the hard way. Resort also has designed smoking outside which is clearly marked. "

"The furniture in every room needs to be replaced and the sofa was so stained and dirty we had to ask for extra towels to put on it (although the bed and pillows were comfortable). Balcony was missing one chair, nether got it after one week. The grounds and beach are beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The boardwalks are in terrible condition, tripping hazard in some areas (would never pass Ontario health and safety). Upholstered furniture across the property is damaged and heavily stained (totally gross). Aside the buffets, the food is atrocious (smelly seafood, canned and frozen products are used, greasy - worse was the Asian restaurant). The service at all à la carte restaurant is extremely slow so your food arrives cold (understaffed). For example, it took two hours to get two of the three courses for our private beach dinner and we ended up skipping dessert or we would have missed the 9:00 pm show. Nightly entertainment was good, preceded by DJ music at 7:00 pm. Guest service was horrible. All you get is empty promises and lip service. We were given a voucher for a free private dinner on the beach ($150 value) for attending their Prestige Club presentation but not told to keep the voucher till check out. The carpet in their presentation area was beyond disgusting - wipe your feet on the way out material. Upon checkout their added the charge to our bill. After 1/2 hour it was apparently sorted out. Only to find out that they still charged our CC. Still zero reply."

"Lovely hotel right on the beach, free access to sun beds and umbrellas. Staff are, mostly, amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Food was very good and variable."

"The staff is amazing and super sweet. My daughter and I had breakfast and dinner at Toby’s and enjoyed our meals. The pool area is always busy and everyone is having a great time. I felt safe and had no complaints. The AC was super cold and everything in the room worked well. "
