"Everything was clear, accurate to my and oir expectations; host was communicative and helpful clarifying as i had a person or two in my group with some special requirements. The place was clean, beautiful, well appointed and stocked. Close to downtown restaurants. Quiet area too. We had a beautiful family gathering, room for people together and privately, lovely kitchen and main space, back deck too!"

"This property exceeded our expectations! The cabin is newly renovated with new appliances and appropriately stocked with cooking essentials. It was also spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable and the babbling brook right outside the cabin lulled us to sleep. We spent days on the covered porch watching the birds and also enjoyed an occasional visit from the ranch dogs, who were polite and well mannered. Host was delightful! She communicated well and was quick to respond to requests. The James Market was well stocked with fresh organic veggies, meats, and many other local items. We had the best burgers we'd ever had at the James Grill. This deserves much more than five stars! If you're in the Durango area, give this a try. You won't be disappointed."

"Amazing stay at Tripp Creek Farmhouse! Pictures do not do the place justice. The location was perfect as we felt secluded but were right between downtown Durango and the Purgatory area for hiking and travel up to Silverton and Ouray. We even saw black bear and mule deer right in the backyard!! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Southwest Colorado!"

"We had an excellent stay overall. The home was clean and well stocked with just about everything that we needed. The only critique that we have is that the owner locks all of the thermostats and it was over 80 degrees in some of the bedrooms at night. For the price we’re paying, this should not be a concern."

"My fault for not looking closely to the A/C, assumed central air but symbol was window units. Photos do not show window units. Three of the upstairs bedrooms were overly warm in the hot July afternoon, only ceiling fans and floor fans. Windows open before bed, fans on and by morning rooms were a reasonable temperature. A small hole in the kitchen ceiling and one downstairs bedroom floor were a little distressing. Kids enjoyed running on the front lawn and seeing the deer in the early morning."

"Great property with unbeatable views. It is secluded but there are several neighbors nearby so you are not up on a mountain all alone. You can see and hear the trains as they come and go throughout the day! We went in July and it was very warm. The evenings/mornings were comfortable but the mid day was very warm, even with the fans provided and windows open. There are no blackout/darkening curtains on the lower level (which for us was the kid level) which meant the kids were up with the sun.. about 6am every day. The giant closet off the master was a great landing point for all our luggage and clothes and kept everything from getting too scattered. We will always remember the blue roof house on the mountainside!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience! We were in Durango for Music in the Mountains and enjoyed having this wonderful home. We made several meals together and especially enjoyed being together on the porch."
