The good far outweighs the iffy, so I appreciated my stay and rated it highly. The check-in was easy and the staff is pleasant. There is a nice breakfast area with a good offering. The hotel feels safe, relatively new, and the rooms have a mini-kitchen with an apartment-sized fridge (not a mini-fridge), including a freezer, a cooktop, a microwave and a dishwasher! There is a closet with doors and a light. There is a sort of makeup counter separate from the bathroom, and the shower is a lovely walk-in. The bed is comfy, the black-out curtains work well, and the internet is fast. I don't think I've ever enjoyed room amenities more. The location is adjacent to very handy retail, and I found the stay to be very quiet. In terms of the iffy, the first time I stayed, my room had a view of a dirty rooftop; the second time I looked out to a view of a porta-potty and construction area under a freeway overpass. The trash bin in front of the entry door was overflowing with waste both times I arrived, and there are indications that the cheap flat paint in the common areas and the rooms is starting to show wear in a hurry, especially in the corner of the rooms where there is an orange chair. This is a great hotel concept and I will stay again.
