"Lovely stay in newly renovated en-suite room - freshly cooked excellent breakfast. Delicious reasonably priced food. Comfy bed, quiet, warm. Beautiful village and you’re right in the centre here."

"Had a lovely stay. Food was lovely and an excellent location."

"The food is excellent, staff very friendly, I cannot knock this hotel it is super."

"Very nice surprise with the location at the bottom of Roseberry Toppin , didn’t know about this until we arrived . The hotel is a treat to stay there. We were going to a friends house in Whitby and travelling from west of Scotland. Hence it was good to stop off , we visited Stokesley near bye and loved the English village life . We will stop here again and the cost was worth it."

"Clean and cosy room, Nice bar, plenty of parking, good choices for breakfast, Hassle free stay. loved it!"

"Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. "

"We always stay here when visiting Whitby, good clean, spacious rooms, decent pub and good, very friendly staff"

"Perfect location and amazing staff so helpful and pleasant . Would stay here again ."

"Yes, these rooms are above a pub but you can’t hear any noise. The appointments were like that of a luxury hotel. The staff worked behind the bar at the pub for the most part and they were extremely responsive to any request. Not sure many tourists find their way to this particular town, but if you’re anywhere near Scarborough, this is the place to stay."

"Excellent food and very friendly staff"

"The room was clean and the accommodation convenient. Staff were nice and breakfast lovely. Just noisy as it was a hotel."
