My room had everything i wanted, was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the lake. It also overlooked where my motorbike was parked, which was a bonus. Les Maisons du pont - Charme & Caractère

10/10 Excellent
"We were delighted with our stay in Aubusson. A lovely breakfast was left outside our room every morning and the restaurant offered a gourmet dinner of local specialties. The town was charming and the care and attention given to us by the hotel staff made our experience one we will always remember."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Saint-Setiers?
The best area to stay in Saint-Setiers is directly within the village centre, particularly around the church and the main square.

This small, tranquil village is the heart of the surrounding rural area. The centre is quite compact, with the Église Saint-Étienne and the Mairie (town hall) being central landmarks. You'll find a few local shops and the village's only restaurant and bar here, making it convenient for basic necessities and socialising.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village centre ideal. It offers a chance to experience authentic rural French life, with direct access to walking paths and the quiet charm of the Corrèze countryside. The pace of life is slow, superb for unwinding and enjoying each other's company without distractions.

For those planning to explore the wider Millevaches Regional Natural Park, staying in the village centre provides a good base.
When is the best time to go to Saint-Setiers?
The best time to go to Saint-Setiers, Nouvelle, France, is during the late spring and early autumn months, specifically from May to June and September to October.

These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed and authentic experience. It's superb for couples seeking a tranquil getaway or solo travellers looking for peaceful exploration.

For those planning to enjoy the local markets and festivals, early summer in June often features various regional events celebrating local produce and traditions.
