Aston Kona by the Sea

"Kona by the Sea: We had the honeymoon of our dreams staying here! To start, our view of the ocean was dreamy and we loved hanging out, reading, and eating breakfast on our balcony. The kitchen was perfect and well stocked. The bedroom was the furthest room away from the ocean which was perfect for me as I can’t fall asleep to the sound of waves. The whole space was so cozy and we loved living there for a week! We cannot say enough thanks to the staff. They are super friendly and accommodating! I had a cut on my foot and they provided me with multiple bandaids throughout our stay, along with any other household things we needed, such as laundry and dish soap. We loved the DVD rental system and had so much fun picking out movies to watch every night! Kona by the Sea is a great choice for anyone looking for a resort experience without the crowd. Anytime we went to the pool or beach we were either the only ones there or had only one other group with us. We hope to be back sometime soon!"

"The hotel was just okay, it seemed a bit old-fashioned, and they're trying to update it. Last night, we had issues with the AC, so we had to switch rooms. We ended up with a sea view, which was amazing! The pool lady was super nice and sweet, so overall, it was a good stay."

"What an incredible week!! We were even there during a hurricane but this part of the island seems to have a lower impact from such events. Absolutely amazing week! The pool was so great to have for our six kids and we had plenty of room. AC in the bedrooms was awesome"

"Really loved this space. Right along the shore, free parking below, Da Poke Shack, and a pool as well. Bot located in the heart of Kailua but along Alii Drive to not be too far from the scenery. Will definitely stay here again in the future."

"We loved ShangriLa! The location was perfect for all our Big Island adventures! The house had plenty of room and beds for my big family! Each family had their own floor, but we could gather and eat together at the dining table. We loved the pool area and outdoor kitchen. When we realized there was no propane tank for the grill, it only took a text to get one delivered soon. It was so nice to have the guys grilling and the kids enjoying the pool! When we went snorkeling, there was equipment and beach chairs that we could carry with us to make our day fun. The elevator made loading and unloading so much easier! We truly appreciated the washers and dryers! Lots of extras were provided throughout the house to make our stay enjoyable! The view and the sunsets made our stay even more special!
