Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Sabana Hoyos?
The best area to stay in Sabana Hoyos, Puerto Rico, is near the Camuy River and its surrounding natural attractions.

This area is primarily known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities, with the Camuy River Cave Park being the main draw. It's a more rural setting, offering a peaceful escape from busy city life. Accommodation options here often include guesthouses and smaller, locally run hotels that blend into the natural landscape.

Couples looking for an adventurous and relaxing getaway will find this area particularly appealing. You can spend your days exploring the impressive cave systems of the Camuy River Cave Park or enjoying the serene environment of the surrounding countryside.
When is the best time to go to Sabana Hoyos?
The best time to visit Sabana Hoyos is during the dry season, which runs from December to April, offering the most pleasant weather for outdoor activities.

During these months, you'll experience lower humidity and less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the karst country and engaging in activities like hiking, caving, and visiting the nearby beaches without interruption from tropical downpours. This period is particularly good for couples looking for adventure and comfortable exploration of the natural landscape.

The shoulder seasons, May and November, can also be a good option. While there might be a bit more rain, it's usually in short bursts, and you'll find fewer crowds and potentially better value on accommodation.
