"The room was excellent. The staff was better though. There was an issue with my room upon check-in. However, upon talking with the front desk they address the issue and provide me with an upgrade for the trouble. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a Hampton. Highly recommend"

"We received a warm welcome from Steve on reception, who explained where everything was, and made some helpful suggestions for our stay. Our room 132 was a comfortable, quiet, corner room on the ground floor, which was spotless, and had everything we could ask for. Comfortable beds/pillows, large TV, extra heaters and a welcome fan. We enjoyed a hearty afternoon tea in the restaurant, and later, tasty, quick, room service. After an excellent nights sleep, we enjoyed a buffet style breakfast in the restaurant. Plenty of choice, clean, well stocked. A perfect overnight stay! We usually choose to stay at a Premier Inn, as you know exactly what you're going to get, and the price is competitive. Going forward, we will now be looking to stay at a Mercure hotel, as the prices are comparable, but the quality and standard of stay are certainly higher."
