Let the kids enjoy a blend of adventure, magic and wildlife with a scenic backdrop of rolling hills and forests at this park east of Tonbridge.
The Hop Farm Family Park is an enormous adventure park with a 4-D cinema, carnival rides and animals. The 500-acre (162-hectare) attraction is set against a rural backdrop in the town of Paddock Wood, east of Tonbridge. Both kids and adults will find plenty of entertainment, with shops and farm animals as well as playgrounds and rides.
One of the most popular attractions at the park is the Giant Jumping Pillows, a huge inflatable area that is safe for bouncing up and down. Feel the splash of seawater in your face and wind through your hair at Pirate Cove’s 4-D movie theatre, where you can watch the pirates on their search for lost treasure. At The Magic Castle, explore a mirror maze and learn magic tricks.
Enjoy traditional carnival rides including bumper boats, spinning cups and a merry-go-round. Watch the children as they play on inflatable slides and jumping castles.
Get the younger kids their own set of mini wheels at the Driving School attraction. They can learn basic road rules and drive around the circuit in mini cars and trucks.
Pet horses, rabbits and sheep at the Shires & Friends Animal Farm. Hold guinea pigs and rabbits while learning about the different animals commonly found on a farm.
Browse through different stores in the park that specialize in antiques, toys, jewellery or plants. Enjoy a snack at Hopper's Diner and Soft Play, while the kids frolic in their own indoor adventure area. There’s also an Outdoor Adventure Play Area, which has slides, ladders and bridges.
The Hop Farm Family Park is open every day and admission is free. Take a train from Tonbridge to Paddock Wood station. Taxis offer special rates from the train station to the park. It takes one hour to get to the farm from London by car. There is ample free parking on site.
