"The Gulf Hotel is legendary in Bahrain and I appreciate its number of restaurants and access to Manama, but it is really too old and too worn down to be a 5 star hotel. "
"The property is decent, however, the rooms had a strong smoke smell and needed some traditional upkeep and room compliance. Be prepared to see the toilet literally in the shower which was not cool. I only stayed on night a switched hotels. Make sure to check the room for a damages and cleanliness. "
