Very nice country feeling and just a few steps to the beach I had a beach front king room it had a porch with a very nice garden setting and then a short stroll through the garden to the beach also about 1k from main town so not far at all. Nice staff at reception and would stay here again.

We stayed for two nights and the room was warm and welcoming on arrival. Loved the ocean view, loved the heated tiles in the bathroom, loved the water pressure in the shower and the weather was beautiful and sunny for our stay. Had dinner in the restaurant which was very nice too.

Stayed for one night while very satisified by the overall experience of this motel, it's very close to beach and town centre, 2 min driving to glow worm dell; facilities are not quite new but all are workable , and the full kitchen is also handy for cooking dinner and breakfast. Will stay here if next time coming to Hokitika.

We loved our stay in the Blackhouse Cottage, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was gorgeously appointed and well set out. The beds were super comfortable and we were snug and warm in the cold. So cozy and the perfect place to unwind and relax. We would stay here again and again.
