"Finding a unique property with excellent reviews in the little town of Rockdale Texas was delightful! This retreat spot is over 100 years old. A comfortable room with king size bed, tv, microwave and frig and coffee maker was all we needed. However, coffee and apple cider and homemade muffins were served in the office. Before dinner at a recommended restaurant, we relaxed on the beautiful lawn in Adirondack chairs. Our only thought was how soon can we get back here for a longer stay!"

"Front desk was very nice and as I didn’t get into the room till late I was pretty disappointed to have to kill multiple roaches in the room and shower… Overall I just needed a place to sleep for the night but definitely was pretty grossed out by time I left."

"Mr. Larry was an absolute delight!!! His positive disposition was a blessing and a great start to the day! The bed sits on a noisy metal frame that squeaks and groans with every movement. As there is no carpet, you hear everything. The doors don’t reach the floor; so light and all sounds come into the room. The outside door shuts loudly, which wakes you when others come and go."

"It was very quiet and beautiful setting. Easy to find but last stretch was a gravel road but ok I am 85 and didn’t feel safe to take a shower. No handle bars. And friend with me had trouble turning the shower on. I did like the window unit in the bedrooms. Kept really cool on that hot night. Bed was very comfortable. "

"The hou8se itself was extremely clean. And our host was extremely easy to contact. The house did have an ant infestation and we paid quite a bit of money for the property to have a pool, only to get there and the pool be almost disguisting. There were dead leaves and dirt on the bottom of the entire pool. I understand that the house is supposed to be completely accesible and it just didnt feel like we got a fair shake dealing with you guys."
