"Was hesitant to stay with the shared bathroom but honestly was never a problem during my 3 night stay, there are two bathrooms/showers in each hall from what I saw, and the sink in the room is nice to get ready in your room. The bed in the room was comfortable too. Other reviews mention the noise/thin walls. Maybe it was a slow week and my room was towards the middle of the building but it never was especially loud, even during the night. The location in the Castro is great, close to Safeway/cafes/restaurants/public transit. I would see the cleaning ladies in the morning and say hi and they seemed nice, the whole place was always clean, the only negative would be the soaps in the bathroom and hand sanitizer in the bathrooms were completely empty, I suspect they don't refill them."

"I wasn't sure how it was going to go with No front desk person. But it was very easy and smooth. My room was a perfect little cozy place, big windows letting in natural light. I had a backyard ground floor room. Felt very home like. The rooftop patio gives awesome views. The location is incredibly convenient for all things castro. Will absolutely stay here again and again."

"This rental is a good value in a good neighborhood with good access to the rest of the city. The host was responsive. The unit however was pretty dirty and in need of repair. It is half of a garage converted into a studio. It definitely still feels a bit like a garage. There were ultrasonic rodent repellent plugs on the walls, however I didn’t see any signs of rodents or any other pests. The shower was good strength. The location felt secure. I’d recommend this rental for someone looking to stay in SF on a budget who doesn’t mind roughing it a bit. With a good deep cleaning and some repairs, this would be more so a stand out rental."
