"Sadly our bed (two singles combined) was in need of replacement as it was too soft and springy (we could feel the springs and the beds dipped in the middle. The toilet cistern dripped all night. There was nowhere to hang our bathroom towels - it needed a hook or two in the bathroom for this. I did report these issues calmly to the manager in the morning and she replied that no one else had reported these issues before! The breakfast was nice but we were surprised to only be given half a muffin with one egg - normally eggs Benedict comes with two muffin halves and two eggs. It was tasty though. The hotel was spotless and I complimented one of the housemaids when I saw her in the morning and she was grateful for the positive comment. Location is good, short walk to the centre of Boughton on the Water. I don’t normally complain when I stay anywhere but I was disappointed overall, which was a surprise to me as I had read great reviews."

"We stayed in Crofters Barn over Easter 2026. It just felt like home to us. It was lovely and warm with lots of natural light. The house is kept immaculately clean and has everything you need. We found it a great base to explore from. It seemed that just about everywhere was 20 minutes away by car. We also enjoyed an amazing Sunday lunch at the pub opposite."

"An amazing home with every comfort and very well equipped. A short walk into Bourton so no parking challenges. A super arrival pack of nibbles and wine which suited adults and children alike. Would definitely use this lovely house again."

"We’ve just returned from an amazing break away at the cottage. It was beautifully styled, clean and well equipped if choosing to stay in and cook. I took some extra tea towels after reading reviews, which were needed as there was only one and nothing to wipe the worktops down with unless you used kitchen roll. Location was great. 10 minutes away from Bourton on the Water and 20 minutes from Jeremy Clarksons farm shop/pub. Customer service was 1st class when I contacted them about checking in. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning."
