The Mousetrap Inn

The Mousetrap Inn

8/10 Good
"Our stay at The Mousetrap was good. Our room was small (which we expected as we'd looked online beforehand), but it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Only one small thing was there was only around 3 or 4 coat hangers in the wardrobe. We stayed two nights and on day two we came back in the afternoon to find our room had been cleaned. The staff were helpful and we were particularly impressed with Anthony who served us in the restaurant. He had a lovely, friendly manner. The choice of breakfast was excellent and what we had was delicious. The location of The Mousetrap was ideal. Parking was limited, but apart from one occasion, we managed to find a spot."

The Slaughters Country Inn

The Slaughters Country Inn

10/10 Excellent
"The rooms are excellent, clean, quiet and picturesque. The staff in general were also excellent. Must have been the busiest time of the year but the bar and restaurant staff are not very good. Takes ages to get served in the bar and then there is no where to sit as everything was reserved. When I tried to reserve the next day, I was spent a yarn about 17:30 to 18:30 etc.... etc.. The breakfast quality is poor but the quantity is fine. The bacon was like leather, the sausage a bit tough and scrambled egg runny."

3 minutes from the famous stone bridges of Bourton on the Water - Callow Cottage

10/10 Excellent
"This place is wonderful! We picked Burton on the Wold because it is the most popular and we would have a place to park. We left on the early side to go visit other towns and then return to the house midafternoon with no problem of parking. The house is in a great location- a little bit away from the main center so not too loud either. A major bonus for us was there are two great fans with a cool setting which was amazing the first night because of the heat wave that was hitting the uk at the time. The water pressure is also great and the kitchen is so well stocked. Getting into the place is easy peasy! Everything is very clean."

The Dial House

The Dial House

8/10 Good
"The location is fantastic being on the High Street in a central location and nicely set back from the hoards of tourists. The staff are lovely and engaging. Lunch and evening meals were beautifully cooked but breakfast at £21.50 per head was not great, being over cooked and one of the most expensive I’ve had, probably ever. On the subject of price, whilst the evening meal was lovely, £40+ each for a Goan Fish Curry and a Ribeye Steak was excessive being on or above the price of a good London restaurant."

Kimkeri, Bourton-on-the-Water - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at Kimkeri was delightful. The house is spacious and the beds are comfortable. We very much enjoyed the peaceful, private back garden and spent a lot of time out there relaxing. The location was perfect: An easy 5 minute walk into the village center in Bourton-on-the-Water, but away from the Saturday crowds, and just across the street from a delightful pub with good food and drink. Kimkeri was easy to find and we were able to find the key and get in easily per the directions Bolthole provided. My wife and I traveled with another couple and this was a great place for us to stay - plenty of room and comfort for all of us. We also appreciated the thoughtful gift of fresh eggs, butter and chocolates as a welcome. We would stay here again and highly recommend Kimkeri and Bolthole for your Cotswolds visit."
